This is the character development assignment I did for the Carter's visit this year. It was a bit out of my box, but I really had a lot of fun with it. Getting really comfortable with illustrator now, who'da thunk it?
I've been refreshing myself in Illustrator over the weekend. I usually sketch and draw loosely, so it's an interesting change to make an image so refined and technical.
I'm really enjoying my zbrush class, since it's nice to learn something new once in a while. And, well, Batman... Since it's currently such a glitchy program it's teaching me to conserve a little more. In my second project, the girl, I had to start over a couple times because my model would get too complicated for the school computers to handle. Really having fun with these though, next assignment is a character in an environment. :)
Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell is one of my favorite books, definitely the best I've read in the last year or so. It's a pain in the neck to get through, since it's like 800+ pages and the language is extremely dry, but the payoff in the end is definitely worth it.
